School Uniform

Uniform is worn at Heyes Lane Primary School to develop a sense of pride in being a member of our very special school community. All of our pupils are required to wear full school uniform listed below and we ask that you help us maintain this high standard and ensure your child is appropriately dressed.

WINTER UNIFORM

• Grey skirt, grey pinafore, grey tailored uniform trousers or grey shorts. Please note: skirts and dresses must be of an appropriate length.
• Light blue polo shirt
• Maroon sweatshirt or cardigan
• White or grey socks OR thick black or grey tights
• Black sensible school shoes (no trainers, boots or open-toed sandals)

SUMMER TERM UNIFORM

• A light blue and white checked school dress may be worn.

PE KIT

• Plain white T shirt (or the HLPS branded shirt available from the school website)
• Plain black shorts, black leggings or black tracksuit bottoms (no cycling shorts)
• Plain black sweatshirt or hoodie (or the HLPS branded maroon top available from the school website)
• Trainers (not boot type) OR football boots (optional for outdoor games).

Please label all items of school uniform and P.E. Kit

• Jewellery: Only small, discrete stud earrings are permitted for health and safety reasons. These must be removed or taped on PE days. A sensible watch of a suitable size is also permitted, but alarms and similar functions must be deactivated when in school. Smart Watches are not permitted. Please note: school is unable to take any responsibility for any jewellery/ watches that are lost or damaged.
• Make-up: No make up is to be worn to school. This includes nail polish and false nails.
• Hair: Long hair must be tied back each day for health and safety reasons. Hair accessories must be minimal and discreet. Hairstyles should be appropriate for school.
• Bags: School bags should be sensible in terms of colour, size and design. Excessively large bags and unhelpful for storage purposes and children should only bring to school what they need to support their learning. Games, toys, cards and valuable items should not be brought to school and are not the responsibility of the school if lost or damaged.

PRE-LOVED UNIFORM

PTA PRE LOVED UNIFORM

All the money raised from the sale of pre-loved uniform goes directly to Heyes Lane PTA.

Uniform has been checked for quality, de-labelled and stored in quarantine. It was requested that items were washed prior to donating to school, it is up to you whether you wish to re-wash it before wearing.
