Introduction
At Heyes Lane Primary School we are committed to ensuring that every child can succeed. The Pupil Premium grant helps us remove barriers to learning so that all pupils can achieve well academically, socially and emotionally.
What the Pupil Premium Is
The Pupil Premium is additional funding provided to schools to improve outcomes for pupils who may face disadvantage. This includes pupils who are eligible for free school meals now or in the past six years, looked after and previously looked after children, and children with a parent serving in the armed forces.

Our planning and provision are shaped by high quality research. The Education Endowment Foundation explains that a strong Pupil Premium strategy should be based on the best available evidence. This guides the decisions we make to support pupils effectively.
How We Use Pupil Premium Funding
High Quality Teaching
We ensure that every classroom offers excellent teaching supported by a rich and ambitious curriculum.
Targeted Academic Support
We provide focused intervention, small group work and one to one support to help pupils make strong progress.
Social Emotional and Mental Health Support
We offer pastoral care, wellbeing support and targeted provision to help pupils feel safe, confident and ready to learn.
Enrichment and Wider Opportunities
We ensure pupils can access wider curriculum experiences, clubs and educational visits that enrich learning.
Attendance and Engagement
We work closely with families to promote regular attendance and positive involvement in school life.

Eligibility and Support for Families
If you believe your child may be eligible for the Pupil Premium or you would like support with the application process, please contact the school office. Even if your child does not take a school meal daily, registering can provide important additional funding that supports pupils directly.
